Meanwhile, 1 of 1 Academy faced the Cougars in a battle between two of the state's top teams. 1 of 1 Academy took a 79-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars last Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (65), 1 of 1 Academy still had to take the loss.
The victory got NC GBB Academy National back to even at 13-13. As for 1 of 1 Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.
NC GBB Academy National was able to grind out a solid win over the when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 72-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for NC GBB Academy National since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
