NCSSM: Durham had won six straight home games  and  Ethann Burkett did his part to make it seven on Tuesday. The NCSSM: Durham Unicorns came out on top against the Wake Prep Academy Guardians by a score of  68-60  for which the team can thank  Burkett, who  went 11-for-17  to rack up 34 points. The  game was  his third in a row with at least 16 points.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Jay Peng, who  went 5-for-7  on his way to 14  points and six  assists. Thanks to that strong game,  he now owns an excellent 45.3%  field goal percentage.
 Several Guardians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Josh Bracey, who  went 8-for-13  en route to 18 points in addition to five  assists and five  boards. The dominant performance also gave  Bracey a new career-high in  shooting accuracy (62%).  Myles Petersen was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double with nine  points and nine  rebounds.
NCSSM: Durham is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 64.6 points over those games. Wake Prep Academy's loss  ended  a  nine-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 22-4.
 NCSSM: Durham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  an  86-51  defeat against Franklin Academy on the 22nd. As for Wake Prep Academy, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  65-43  win against Excelsior Classical Academy on the 25th.
