Alora Martinez Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Pomona's Alora Martinez, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Martinez picked up two sacks and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Jay Cordova Has Career Rushing Day
Jay Cordova posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Wednesday. She rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns.

Dakota Ridge was sadly handed a loss on Wednesday, but Gabby Garces did her best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Garces was still balling out as she rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Dakota Ridge and nudges their season record down to 9-6. Garces and Dakota Ridge will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on George Washington at 12:30 p.m. on October 26th.

Sasha Calanni put up the most rushing yards she's had since back in August on Wednesday. She rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. She got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards.
Green Mountain's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. Calanni and Green Mountain will square off against Arvada West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ashley Cortez Turns in Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles
Ashley Cortez continued her hot streak on Wednesday by dropping her tenth-straight game with at least five total tackles. She made eight total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception. She has become a key player for Evergreen: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least one interception, but 4-5 otherwise.
Evergreen is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6. Cortez and Evergreen will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pomona at 9:00 a.m. on October 26th.
