West Broward is on a three-game streak of home wins, while St. Thomas Aquinas is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when West Broward took on Western on Thursday. The Bobcats blew past the Wildcats 12-1. Considering the Bobcats have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cheyanne Chaffin spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Milian Valdez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayla Castillo, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

St. Thomas Aquinas never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Fort Lauderdale on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Flying L's with a sharp 12-1 win. The game was the first time the Raiders have beaten the Flying L's on their field since March 11, 2019.
St. Thomas Aquinas also got a great performance from Ayla Sato as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Victoria Brunette was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Jessica Sacca was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
St. Thomas Aquinas has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for West Broward, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
West Broward took their victory against St. Thomas Aquinas when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
