The Dixie Flyers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Desert Hills 78-47 at home. With Dixie ahead 38-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Dixie had a senior duo take command as Breckon Robinson scored 30 points along with three steals and Logan Weidauer dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Lemke, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Dixie's victory was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game. As for Desert Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixie will take on Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Desert Hills, they will head out on the road to challenge Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Snow Canyon is ranked 31st, while Desert Hills is ranked 44th).
