The Dollar Bay Bays's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 43-29 fall against Wright. While losing is never fun, Dollar Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while Wright is ranked 127th).
Several Bays players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiera Isaacson, who scored four points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Adelyn Swain, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Dollar Bay bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Wright, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dollar Bay on the road again on Monday and play against Ontonagon at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Ontonagon is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Wright, they will head out on the road to square off against Lake Linden-Hubbell at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Lake Linden-Hubbell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
