Baseball Recap: Savannah Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Savannah had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Lathrop Mules. The Savages have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mules, too.

Savannah pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Lathrop, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Savannah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-2 victory against Maryville on the 8th. Lathrop has also already played their next matchup (against Tri-County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
