Gavin Markey Delivers Electric Performance Vs East Hall
Starting off the list is Jefferson's Gavin Markey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markey rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.
Markey and Jefferson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st. Titus Watkins produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Oconee County to the win on Friday. Watkins threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 37 yards.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Oconee County, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. Watkins and Oconee County will face off against Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Cherokee Bluff picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kaden (Kt) Thompson. Thompson was dynamite, picking up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Cherokee Bluff pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Thompson and Cherokee Bluff will venture away from home to square off against Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
