In other batting news, Ami Patel and Elizabeth Pinkham did most of the damage at the plate: Patel went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Pinkham scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Patel a new career-high in hits. Maria Moore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, William Allen unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Wilson Area on Saturday, falling 34-0.
