If Molalla were expecting to get some payback for the 19-27 defeat against Woodburn the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Molalla fell just short of Woodburn by a score of 7-9. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
The loss dropped Molalla's record to 1-2. The victory bumped Woodburn's record up to 3-0.
Molalla will look to defend their home turf next week against Valley Catholic at 7:00 PM. As for Woodburn, they will face off against North Marion.
