Ajo won the last time they faced New Way Learning Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Raiders put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 18-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jarett Moore and Emilio Cubillas did most of the damage at the plate: Moore went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Cubillas went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave Cubillas a new career-high. Izemier Alvarez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Ajo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .412 that New Way Learning Academy posted.

Ajo moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for New Way Learning Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ajo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 loss against Wickenburg Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for New Way Learning Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Trinity Christian on the 23rd.
