The Clover Garden School Grizzlies were the 66-26 winner over the Triangle Math & Science Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Clover Garden School took a hard 37-22 fall against Triangle Math & Science on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Clover Garden School saw an underclassman step up: Emery Kate Webster scored 13 points.
Triangle Math & Science had a senior duo take command as Leanna Nohs scored 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals and Samrita Sriram scored 15 points along with four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Nohs has scored at least a third of Triangle Math & Science's points.
Clover Garden School has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Triangle Math & Science, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Clover Garden School will head out on the road to challenge Southern Wake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Triangle Math & Science won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Chatham Charter is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
