The Canton Warriors can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Williamson 50-48. The victory was just what Canton needed coming off of a 65-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Canton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Fitch, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Brayden Vroman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Canton's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Williamson, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will take on Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Athens focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. Williamson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northeast Bradford at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st.
