In what's become a running theme this season, the Noblesville Millers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-31 victory over Franklin Central at home. Given Noblesville's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Franklin Central is ranked 40th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Noblesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Baron Walker, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Walston, who scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Franklin Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EJ Hazelett, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Hazelett hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Franklin Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Noblesville's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Franklin Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Noblesville will stay at home for another game and welcome Guerin Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Franklin Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
