Greenhills barely beat Glenn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gryphons put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 11-1 win on Friday. The Gryphons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

Fran Love was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Jeremiah Bowman was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Josh Dorfman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Greenhills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matchups.

Greenhills pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-25.

Coming up, Greenhills will look to defend their home field on Monday against Whitmore Lake at 6:00 p.m. As for Glenn, they are taking a road trip to take on Brighton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
