The Wootton Patriots lost against the Walter Johnson Wildcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Wootton fell just short of Walter Johnson by a score of 46-44.
Kendall Alexander continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Walter Johnson, scoring 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Youssef, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Wootton's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Walter Johnson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Wootton will head out on the road to take on Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bethesda-Chevy Chase will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Wootton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walter Johnson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Walter Johnson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday.
