Bridgeport Baptist Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Back in December of 2023, Bridgeport Baptist Academy was the victim of a tough 47-24 defeat at the hands of Community Baptist Christian. While losing is never fun, Bridgeport Baptist Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 660th, while Community Baptist Christian is ranked 209th).
Meanwhile, Juniata Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. The match between Juniata Christian and Springfield Christian Academy wasn't particularly close, with Juniata Christian falling 54-38.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Blake Smith, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Nathan Wright was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Bridgeport Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Juniata Christian, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Bridgeport Baptist Academy suffered a grim 43-20 defeat to Juniata Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Bridgeport Baptist Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
