While losing is never fun, Jacksboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 927th, while City View is ranked 287th).
Jacksboro's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Eric Pizana, who scored ten points, and Cannon Valenzuela who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pizana has scored all season.
Jacksboro's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for City View, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
Jacksboro will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Vernon at 7:30 p.m. As for City View, they will head out on the road to take on Henrietta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henrietta has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
