Newman Catholic won the last time they faced Pacelli and things went their way on Saturday too. The Fighting Cardinals walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Cardinals.

Camille Sobolewski paced Newman Catholic's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sobolewski got some help from Lexi Rice and her 20 assists. Lauren Thiel controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Newman Catholic's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Pacelli, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Newman Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Regis on the 20th. As for Pacelli, they will square off against Rosholt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
