West Seneca West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Ecker, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Ecker continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophie Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
West Seneca West's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hamburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Seneca West will challenge Sacred Heart Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Sacred Heart Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. Hamburg will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Amherst Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th.
