The Valor Christian Eagles put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Air Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-43 victory on the road. Fans of Valor Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Despite the loss, Air Academy still got an impressive performance from Noah Hellem, who scored 20 points. Hellem scored a full 46.5% of Air Academy's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Max Howery, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Valor Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Air Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 25-3 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Valor Christian is on the road again on Friday and play against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Chaparral is ranked fourth, while Valor Christian is ranked third). As for Air Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
