Kemmerer is 0-9 against Pinedale since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kemmerer is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Kemmerer was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-27 to Rocky Mountain. While losing is never fun, Kemmerer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Rocky Mountain is ranked third).
Meanwhile, Pinedale entered their tilt with Green River with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pinedale walked away with a 49-41 win over Green River on Saturday.
Elyn Bowers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erica Wilson, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Kemmerer's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pinedale, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Kemmerer suffered a grim 68-43 defeat to Pinedale when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Kemmerer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
