Spokane is 1-8 against Crane since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Owls will square off against the Pirates at 11:00 a.m.
Spokane is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 26 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Marionville on Thursday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 11-1.
Callie Terrell was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. Terrell was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Crane came out on top against Exeter on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Pirates put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-0 victory.
Like Spokane, Crane also got a great game from a two-way player: Graclin Ramey. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ramey was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ramey is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Peyton Cutbirth was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Reese Custer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Crane kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Crane now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Spokane, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Spokane came up short against Crane when the teams last played back in April of 2025, falling 20-17. Can the Owls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
