It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the El Dorado Golden Hawks had no problem doing just that on Friday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Wolves 30-29. The victory was nothing new for El Dorado as they're now sitting on four straight.
El Dorado had a senior duo take command as Isaiah Quintero rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns and Nate Bento rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown.
King's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joshua Harper, who threw for 205 yards and four touchdowns. Harper has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Bowen, who picked up 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
El Dorado has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for King, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-5.
El Dorado will be playing at home against Mayfair at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. Mayfair is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. King does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
