On Tuesday Max Mangum struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk), which was good enough to also set a new career-low in walks. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with more than ten strikeouts. For the year, he has an ERA of 1.75 over 36 innings pitched.

Mangum's strong effort led East Bernard over Hitchcock and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are limping into the matchup having lost five straight on the road dating back to last season.
