El Capitan/Centennial Academy suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Williams by a score of 38-36. El Capitan/Centennial Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Williams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 4th.
Williams was led to victory by Liliana Vazquez and Kai Mortensen. Vazquez scored four points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Mortensen scored 13 points.
This is the second loss in a row for El Capitan/Centennial Academy and nudges their season record down to 14-7. As for Williams, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
