The Reading Rangers will head out on the road to take on the Stockbridge Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Reading scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maple Valley 63-7 at home. The victory was just what Reading needed coming off of a 70-39 loss in their prior game.
Reading's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie Santure, who scored 12 points along with six steals and two blocks. Santure is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubree Ervans, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Stockbridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down Bronson 64-50. 64 seems to be a good number for Stockbridge as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Stockbridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gracee Robidou out in front who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robidou has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Dalton, who scored ten points along with seven assists.
The victory got Reading back to even at 6-6. As for Stockbridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
