The Tipton Cardinals were the 70-59 winner over the Eldon Mustangs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Tipton's rough 59-35 defeat to Eldon on Saturday might stick with them for a while.
When it comes to explaining why Tipton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Bailey. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Bailey scored a full 54.3% of Tipton's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zach Moon was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Tipton now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Eldon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tipton will take on Leeton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eldon, they will be playing at home against Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Buffalo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
