South Stanly was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Kinsley Tyson did her best to prevent it. Tyson turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Tyson and South Stanly will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. The last time Tyson duked it out with the Bulldogs (last Thursday), the Rowdy Rebel Bulls came out on top by a score of 16-0.
