Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Westinghouse Warriors walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Cougars 60-28 at home. Westinghouse has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jamilah Jackson, who scored 24 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Jackson is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Amariyae Ervin was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Crane Medical lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Angel Reed, who scored nine points.

Westinghouse's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westinghouse will challenge Addison Trail at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Crane Medical, they and Kelly will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Crane Medical is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kelly in Illinois (Crane Medical is ranked 211th, while Kelly is ranked 486th).
