The Batesburg-Leesville Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Pelion Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Batesburg-Leesville and seven for the Panthers.
Last Friday, Batesburg-Leesville lost to the Predators on the road by a decisive 50-36 margin.
Meanwhile, Pelion had to suffer through a rough 58-15 loss at the hands of the Rebels. Pelion was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-8.
Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Pelion, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
Batesburg-Leesville beat the Panthers 25-17 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Batesburg-Leesville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
