Anthony Wayne and Clay are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2015, but not for long. The Generals will be taking part in a tournament against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Anthony Wayne comes in on 18 and Clay on seven.
Anthony Wayne saw some tournament action on Monday. They came out on top against Northview by a score of 3-1.
Anthony Wayne was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 26-28, 25-10, 25-9.

Anthony Wayne's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jessie Kennelly, who had nine digs and two aces, and Charley Gardner, who had 24 kills, 17 digs, and three aces. Gardner is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 35 games she's played dating back to last season.
They weren't the only good servers: Anthony Wayne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northview only served four.
Meanwhile, Clay earned a 3-1 win over Ross on Monday.
Clay had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-12.
Clay's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Anthony Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 22-1.
Anthony Wayne was able to grind out a solid victory over Clay in their previous meeting back in August, winning 3-1. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
