Fannett Metal will take on the Windber Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
On Monday, Fannett Metal got the win against Shalom Christian Academy by a conclusive 8-2. Considering Fannett Metal has won six games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jake Coffman was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Fannett Metal's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Adam Hammond was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windber). Everything went their way against Berlin Brothersvalley on Thursday as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Ramblers have beaten the Mountaineers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mountaineers has come to flipping the script.
The team relied heavily on Lucas Rummel, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Serenko, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Windber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Windber's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2. As for Fannett Metal, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fannett Metal hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Windber struggles in that department as they've averaged .339. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Fannett Metal's way against Windber in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Fannett Metal made off with an 11-3 victory. Will Fannett Metal repeat their success, or does Windber has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
