Last Thursday, Blair Academy faced Saddle River Day in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Blair Academy came out on top against Saddle River Day by a score of 73-61. The victory was just what Blair Academy needed coming off of a 80-52 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Hun had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 58-25 victory over Peddie. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Hun has managed all season.
Hun found their leader in underclassman Gabby D'Agostino, who scored 20 points along with seven assists and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which D'Agostino has scored at least a third of Hun's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Pinkett, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Blair Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Hun, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Everything came up roses for Blair Academy against Hun in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 87-40 victory. With Blair Academy ahead 46-22 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
