The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hereford of the 41-35 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Pikesville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariah Jones-Bey, who scored six points along with nine assists and four steals. Jones-Bey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tykeisha Hill, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Hereford's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-2. As for Pikesville, their win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Hereford will take on Manchester Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pikesville, they will be playing at home against Woodlawn at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
