Beechwood lost to Conner back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Beechwood walked away with a 5-2 win over Conner. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Cougars on their field since June 6, 2021.

Kegan Hutton made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Hutton wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Becker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Hudson Edwards also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Beechwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Conner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beechwood will welcome West Clermont at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Conner, they will square off against Lafayette at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
