Rylend Doble went supernova for Mission Heights Prep, throwing for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Konner Rosales got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Mission Heights Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Cade Riggs and his two sacks.
Maricopa Institute of Technology's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Imagine Prep and 5-2 El Dorado (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.6% over those games). As for Mission Heights Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Maricopa Institute of Technology will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Academy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Mission Heights Prep, they will be playing at home against Imagine Prep at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Imagine Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
