The Battle Ground Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Mountain View at home  by a decisive  53-39 margin. Battle Ground has struggled against Mountain View recently, as their  game on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the loss, Battle Ground still got an impressive performance from   Skylar Fridriksson, who  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds. Fridriksson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.  Haily Navarro was another key contributor,  scoring six points.
 Even though they lost, Battle Ground  were working as a unit and  finished the game with 13  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Mountain View found their leader in underclassman  Mylee Thompson, who  scored 16 points. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jadlyn Senderson, who  scored ten points along with four  steals.
 Battle Ground's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
 Battle Ground won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Kelso at 7:00  p.m.  on January 23rd. Kelso presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Battle Ground in Washington (Kelso is ranked 123rd, while Battle Ground is ranked 270th). As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
