The North Garland Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-29 walloping at the hands of Garland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Garland in their matchups with Garland: they've now lost eight in a row.
Garland found their leader in underclassman Penny Chandler, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Webb, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
North Garland's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-14. As for Garland, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-13.
North Garland will take on South Garland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Garland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Garland, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
