Granada typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Livermore proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Matadors.
Kaci Norton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Gianna Willes was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Aguilar, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Carondelet's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Livermore, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carondelet hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Livermore struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
