Basketball Recap: Oregon City Skates Past Roseburg with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oregon City). They claimed a resounding 81-33 victory over the Roseburg Indians. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Indians are ranked 208th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oregon City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Roseburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Oregon City will be playing in front of their home fans against West Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oregon City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully West Salem likes a good challenge. As for Roseburg, they will face off against Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Reynolds will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Roseburg surely won't give up without a fight.
