The Master's Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight loss. They fell to Calvary Christian Academy 33-29. Master's Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Calvary Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from Carissa Hennessey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds. Hennessey hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Grace Holderman was another key contributor, scoring two points along with ten rebounds.
Master's Academy bumped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5.
Master's Academy will face off against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is ranked 645th, while Master's Academy is ranked 636th). As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Real Life Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Real Life Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
