South Effingham fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Statesboro since on Tuesday.

Glynn Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five games. As for South Effingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Glynn Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against South Effingham in their previous meeting on March 4th, sneaking past 1-0.
