Despite the loss, Clarkson/Leigh still got an impressive performance from Chloe Hanel, who scored 33 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Hanel scored a full 78.6% of Clarkson/Leigh's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Kasik, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Clarkson/Leigh's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for North Bend Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Clarkson/Leigh will be playing at home against Tekamah-Herman at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tekamah-Herman is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for North Bend Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Arlington on Tuesday.
