The Jones County Coyotes lost a heartbreaker to the Sully Buttes Chargers when they met back in February of 2022, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. Jones County was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Chargers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jones County in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.
Jones County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Kinsley, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Feddersen, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Jones County's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Sully Buttes, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Jones County will take on the Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sully Buttes, they will head out on the road to square off against the Battlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
