Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Jac-Cen-Del had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Edinburgh Lancers 51-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted since January 16th.

Jac-Cen-Del's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lanie Narwold, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Narwold a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Simon, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Despite the defeat, Edinburgh had strong showings from Kenna Streeval, who put up 16 points and six rebounds, and Kinzie Purvis, who had six points and nine rebounds. Streeval is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Jac-Cen-Del's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5. As for Edinburgh, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Jac-Cen-Del didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-26 victory against New Washington on the 14th. As for Edinburgh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-32 win against Milan on the 14th.
