It was another big night for Zara Leilani Stewart, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of First Baptist Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Ella Johnson, who scored ten points.
First Baptist Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. As for Palmetto Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
First Baptist Academy will play host again and welcome Donahue Catholic, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Donahue Catholic is ranked 285th, while First Baptist Academy is ranked 271st). Palmetto Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
