The Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers were the 52-41 winner over Springfield Renaissance when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Putnam Vo-Tech was outmatched by Springfield Renaissance on the road and fell 46-17. Putnam Vo-Tech's loss keeps them winless this season.
Springfield Renaissance's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Buzzell , who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Ocana-saunders, who scored nine points along with seven steals.
Putnam Vo-Tech's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Springfield Renaissance, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam Vo-Tech will be home for the holidays to greet Sutton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield Renaissance, they will play host again and welcome Lee, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
