Lincoln is 0-6 against Central Kitsap since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Abes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Lincoln gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 20-15 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Kaydence Pugh was a standout: she fired off three triples, five RBI, and three runs while going 6-for-5. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Joy Wilde, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and four runs.
Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .551. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Central Kitsap had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 7-3.
Coral Howell and Ari Linder dominated on the mound. Howell pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Linder tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Linder has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Central Kitsap let Ava Day and Alex Berg run wild. Day went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Berg got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Central Kitsap's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like Central Kitsap struggles in that department as they've averaged .498. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lincoln might still be hurting after the 13-1 loss they got from Central Kitsap in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Abes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
