The Jackson Polar Bears came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against McKinley by a score of 80-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Among those leading the charge was Kyle Monterrubio, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for McKinley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Jackson will be playing in front of their home fans against Green at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Green has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 299 points over their last five matches. As for McKinley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hoover at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Hoover is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
